Summer unfolds with parties, the Prouty — and imaginary bears

We enjoyed trips to Woodstock, another block party at 14 on The Common and a porch party at Lyme Historians. , and the annual Prouty cancer fundraiser that draws hundreds of cyclists to the Common for shade under a yellow-and-white striped tent. Plus, Jim found creative ways to see what other people keep reporting: black bears. The original photo here was taken on a trail behind Stella’s:

It was hot for the Prouty, so cyclists appreciated the shade on the common.
